Snacks While Dieting
One of the things people eliminate from their diets when they want to burn fat or lose weight is their snacks. It is not a good idea to skip snacks. To keep your metabolism burning that fat your body needs low fat high fiber fuel. It is a great idea to cut out the coffee, candy, chips and snack cakes. But be sure to replace them with a high fiber low fat snack item. Find something you like.
High fiber and low fat does not only mean granola bar. There are many other choice out there such as yogurt, fresh,fruit and vegetables and some snack crackers. Find something you like. Try to keep your snacks and meals close to the same time each day. Our body’s regulate their clocks when it comes to its fuel consumption. If it runs out of fuel at the wrong time we are more likely to slip and either reach for something that is not so good for us such as a snicker bar or we are very likely going to over eat.
Another trick to keep reminding ourselves is or stomach size does not change unless we stretch it over time. Often we feel since I missed a meal or a snack I can eat twice as much at this sitting. Wrong. Just because you missed a meal does not mean your stomach size has changed. It is still the same size. When you pack and cram more into your stomach to make up for that missed meal you are stretching your stomach. Over time doing this will stretch your stomach making it require more food to fill is up. When we wake up on morning and we weigh three hundred pound, that is how we got there. Once a meal is missed there is NO making up for it!
